Tatte idli or plate idli

Ingredients
Rice – 2 cups
Urad Dal – ½ Cup
Banana – 5
Salt to taste
Method
Soak the rice and Urad dal in water for 8-10 hours. Grind the rice along with banana. Keep this over night. Put the batter in plates and cook in steam. Tastes well with chatni.

  1. I'm soo intrigued by the addition of banana in Idly ! What type of banana should be used ? Should it be ripe ?
