IngredientsWheat Flour - 3/4
CupBesan - 1/4
CupMethi leaves - 1 bunch(medium sized bunch)
Grated Jaggery - 3 Spoons
Tamarind Juice - 3 Spoons
Green Chilli - 4
Garlic - 3 cloves
Aniseed(Somp) - 1 Spoon
Jeera - 1 Spoon
Oil - 5 Spoons
Salt to taste

Method
Grind green chillies and garlic into paste. Chop and grind the methi leaves. Mix wheat floor, besan, grinded chilly-garlic paste, grinded methi leaves, jaggery, tamarind juice,aniseed, jeera and salt. Mix well and prepare dough(similar to Chapati). Add 2-3 spoons oil and mix well again.
Now take the dough and prepare like chapathi and cook on tawa with oil. Yummy thepla is ready.

Ladies Finger Paldya

Ingredients
Ladies finger - 1/2 KG
Methi - 2 spoons
Red chillies - 10
Grated coconut - 1/2 Cup
Tamarind syrup - 2 spoons
Salt and Jaggry to taste
Curd/butter milk - 1/2 cup
Method
Cook the ladies finger along with water, salt and tamarind for about 20 mins. Fry redchillies and Methi with little oil. Grind fried red chillies, methi and coconut in a mixer. Add this mix to the cooked ladies finger and boil it for 5 mins. Now add curd and boil it for another 2 mins. It tastes excellent. Easy to prepre and tastes different from regular sambar.

Mango Halwa

Ingredients
Mango – 2 Kgs/ Mango pulp – 5 cups
Sugar – 2.5 cups
Ghee – 1 cup
MethodHeat a thick tava, pour the mango pulp and sugar into that. Keep on stirring by adding ghee in regular intervals. Continue this proecure for around ½ an hour. Manga halwa is ready.

Ingredients
Jackfruit Seeds – 15
Green chillies – 2
Onion - 2
Ginger – 1 medium sized piece
Lemon –1
Curry leaves
Fenugreek – 1 chitke
Salt to taste

Method
Cook the jackfruit in a cocker, grind it and keep it aside.
Cut the onions, green chillies, ginger. Heat the oil in a pan, add urad dal, mustard, haldi and fenugreek. Add chillies, onion and ginger. Add the grinded jackfruit seeds, salt and cook for 5 minutes. It tastes well with rice.

Tatte idli or plate idli

Ingredients
Rice – 2 cups
Urad Dal – ½ Cup
Banana – 5
Salt to taste
Method
Soak the rice and Urad dal in water for 8-10 hours. Grind the rice along with banana. Keep this over night. Put the batter in plates and cook in steam. Tastes well with chatni.
